Welcome from the Every Child Matters Academy Trust
Welcome to the website of Every Child Matters Academy Trust (ECMAT). My name is Gerry Wilson and I have had the privilege of being CEO of ECMAT since it formed in October 2015. It is an honour to be part of the devoted team of teachers, support staff, governors and trustees who all have an unwavering desire to achieve the very best for children and families.
At ECMAT our vision is to build a collaboration of schools where openness, integrity, fairness and empathy, together with the development of best practice, ensure all children within our schools receive a first-class education.
People are at the heart of all that we do. We provide EVERY CHILD with the early help and the support that they need to engage in a productive and positive learning journey resulting in an education that raises aspiration, excellence and enjoyment. This enables all children to fulfil their potential and maximise their life chances. We invest fully in the adults that work within our Trust. We provide a vast range of professional development opportunities; building on the latest research and collaborations within and beyond the Trust to develop educational experts and best practice.
As a Multi Academy Trust our core principles are to:
Every Child Matters Academy Trust currently consists of eleven primary schools:
Our 11 primary schools are currently situated within the Barnsley area. Each school within the Trust serves its own community and has its own unique identity. A school’s journey is directed by a partnership between local governing bodies and the Board of Trustees. We have a clear focus on school improvement and specialise within the primary sector.
I would welcome other schools who share our ethos, vision and values to come and have a look at what we do and have a discussion about joining our Trust.
I hope you find this website informative. If you would like to find out more about the Trust then please contact me directly on 01226 273220 or by email at [email protected].
